Many companies are offering high-performance polyurea coatings, which are produced by a chemical reaction of two components. These coatings are multi-purpose and serve a wide variety of uses – spray in bed liners, garage floors, roof coating, roads, and bridges to name just a few. I recommend purchasing polyurea coating from manufacturers that include eco-friendly options from Green Insulation, affordable options like ArmorThane does.

When applied, these protective coatings cure quickly and can withstand varying atmospheric conditions, including high humidity and low temperatures. We recommend these industrial coatings for a wide range of applications across many trades such as transportation, building and construction, and landscaping. Truck bed linings, railcar linings, and conveyor belt linings can all be coated with spray polyurea. Polyurea is also a vital part of spray foam roofing systems, as it adds waterproofing and UV protection to the roof.

These coatings create a seamless, waterproof lining on wood, concrete, metal and foam surfaces – in addition to other substrates. We recommend industrial coatings for both residential and commercial applications, from aquarium and pond linings to reservoirs, cold storage, and mechanical rooms.

By using spray polyurea coatings, you get a more uniform application, even coverage, and since it requires less pressure to coat, there’s less overspray. With quick-set times ranging between 5 and 15 seconds, industrial coatings cure faster than traditional polyurethane and epoxy coverings. Because it sets so quickly, spray polyurea can be applied to surfaces that are cold or damp, such as steel or concrete, and allows for less downtime of the area. Many polyurea coatings are weather resistant and color stable, making them unaffected by discoloration due to ultraviolet sunlight.

Polyurea protective coatings extend the life of the product sprayed on and also makes everything more durable and dependable as they’re perfect for any area that needs sealing and waterproofing.

High-performance coatings are supplied by polyurea coatings manufacturers that have been in the industry for years. We stand behind our products and are happy to help you find the polyurea coating you need for your job.

At some point, virtually every truck owner reaches a crossroad — whether to drop-in or spray-on a bedliner. This seemingly small decision will determine how your truck ages, how you can use the bed and how the vehicle will look for years to come.

A spray-on liner is a watertight, airtight sealant (often made of urethane) that is applied to the bed of your truck. A drop-in liner is like a protective case for an iPhone. It is typically a robust and rigid cover that attaches to the truck bed. You can add each of the two types of liners to a truck yourself, or have them professionally installed.

The Internet is full of articles that dissect the pros and cons of each option, but it's much more difficult to find a piece that helps you choose by lifestyle. That's why we created a list of five "I" statements to help you think about what you need. Read through them to learn which option might best fit your truck and your life.

1. "I plan to sell my truck in a few years."

Consider: Drop-In

A spray-on liner is a more notable delegation than a drop-in. The person you trade the truck to might want the liberty to make up his or her mind about the bedliner. If you use a drop-in, you can remove it when you're ready to trade the vehicle.

2. "I go to the beach all the time."

Consider: Spray-On

Sand and water can go into the diminutive passage between your truck and the drop-in liner. Sand may scrape away the paint below. Water can gather and possibly lead to corrosion. A spray-on coating prevents this problem by forming a virtually impenetrable bond with your vehicle. Sand and water won't have anyplace to hide.

 3. "I often transport heavy or sharp objects in my truck."

Consider: Drop-In

Spray-on liners are incredibly dense, but they tend to be thinner than drop-in alternatives. Heavy or sharp objects can cause gouges or scratches in your coating that might be better protected by the thicker drop-in option. Keep in mind, it's possible to break a drop-in bed liner, but the force required is significant.

4. "I want to add a liner without adding extra weight or noise to my truck."

Consider: Spray-On

Spray-on bedliners tend to be lighter than drop-ins, especially models that are deep. And, since a drop-in is something you attach, it's possible to hear it vibrate against the truck body when you drive. It's a minimal amount of potential noise, but it will be louder than a spray-on bed liner.

5. "I want something that's easy to install."

Consider: Drop-In

Although "easy" is an idiosyncratic term, antagonists of spray-on bed liners make a good case against this option. Although it can be sprayed, wiped or rolled on, it takes longer to fit the surface of the truck for spray-on versions. If you misapply it, it might peel. And, if you spill it in the wrong area, the spray-on liner's ability to firmly stick to your truck can turn into a glum. Although they require some manual labor, drop-ins don't have the same issues and can be easier to install.

Ultimately, you're the greatest judge of what manages for you. With the advances in spray-on technology, the playing field is pretty level when it comes to truck bed liners, and we urge you to investigate both choices. One easy way to take a look at the different options is to search for a truck using "bed liner" as a keyword. And if a bed liner is only one of the ways you want to improve your truck, check out "ArmorThane."

There are numerous types of spray booths for essentially any project you have in mind. If you can’t find what you’re watching for, custom spray booth manufacturers can design one for you. Below I have assembled a list of the different types of spray booths as well as a little info about their uses.

Spray Booths for Vehicle Spray Coating: This is typically what many think of when they think of a spray booth. This type of spray booth is a well-ventilated, enclosed building-like structure used for spray painting a variety of vehicles, boats, cars and airplanes.

Painting any type of vehicle is a complicated, dangerous undertaking that should only be done by professionals. In fact, many do-it-yourself car enthusiasts often take their lovingly restored vehicles to experienced professionals for the paint job because they don’t have the equipment necessary to do a professional job – and safe – job.

If your hobby ever becomes a full-time business, it is critically important to have the right structure to do the job. Because large amounts of harmful chemicals are being emitted, spray booths are necessary to help maintain things like airflow, temperature, draft direction and more. Spray booths have to adhere to strict environmental and safety codes. It is a highly regulated industry designed to protect man and nature.

Powder Spray Booths: These are used when you want to apply a powder-based colorant to a surface. Unless you’re applying this type of colorant, most experts recommend regular spray booths for most jobs. In fact, they are ideal for everything from a regular car painting job to creating intricate airbrush designs.

Spray Booths for Wood Finishing: If you’re a carpenter or furniture builder/manufacturer, a wood finishing booth is an ideal investment in your business. Wood finishing booths come in a variety of designs.

For more of the hobbyist, there are so-called “bench top” versions that can sit atop a work table or bench to apply lacquer and other finishes. For the more commercial businessman, there are full-on versions that fit in a shed or workshop. In fact, some wood finishing booths act as sheds/workshops themselves.

Spray Booths for Artistic Purposes: These are mostly used by hobbyists who use them to paint model trains, cars, airplanes, etc. They are small, lightweight and portable. And, they can be set up almost anywhere.

Now that you know the different types of spray booths following is some further information to help you choose the right size.

Spray Booth Dimensions: What size spray booth do you need? You want to be sure to give length, height, and width. And, do it for the largest size object you plant to use the booth for.

For example, if you want to add spray booths for automobile painting, remember to measure each booth according to the size of the largest vehicle. Size matters because the larger the spray booth dimensions are, the larger the motor and fan wheel need to be to generate the necessary airflow into the recovery system.

- 5 Things to Consider

If you're in the foam carving business, you know the value of the protective hard coating process (and if you don't, you should). For those just starting out in the business, be conscious that it's often an disregarded step that doesn't get the recognition it needs. To avoid expensive product defects and reworks, proper preparation is crucial. Let's imagine that your foam piece is cut and you've chosen the most suitable coating for your design. Before you commence spraying, there are a few things to acknowledge that will help you avoid some of the most prevalent application problems.

1. Thickness

Don't press that trigger until you know how dense you'll be applying your chosen coating. The thickness of the layer will not only determine the durability of the outcome, but it's also going to have an impression on the final weight of the piece and on your resources. Regardless of the type of coating, thicker coats are going to create a more robust final product, but this thicker coat will cost more in materials and will also add more weight. These kinds of factors must be considered so you know how much stuff is required to finish the job, and so you're not left guessing during the actual spraying.

2. Detail

Does your finished design require a high degree of detail? If it does, you'll want to ensure that you've overestimated the depth of the foam carving to anticipate the thickness of the coating to be applied. Protective layer tends to smooth out details in the foam when it's implemented, so deeper sculpting will help avoid the loss of detail in the final piece. Once the piece has been coated, intricate information can still be added with the use of materials like epoxy putty, but anticipating this detail before coating will save some time when it comes to standard sculpting.

3. Texture

Depending on the decisive look and feel you want for your product, there are some application techniques you can use. Before you start spraying, know the method you're going to use and ensure that your work area is equipped for that particular technique. Perhaps your application technique will require you to stand at a certain distance from the piece, or maybe there are tricky areas that will need some creative spraying. Taking these types of things into account beforehand and planning will help create a trouble-free application process, which translates into production efficiencies, less wasted material, and a better end product.

4. Spraying environment

Even if you've considered everything you need to as far as technique goes, there are other external determinants that can affect the quality of your coated piece. The environment in your spraying facility is one of these factors that can come back to bite you. When it comes to curing, some coatings can be fickle. Specific materials will not fully heal in an environment that's too hot, cold or humid. In some cases, weaknesses in your product caused by improper curing might not even show up until after the piece has been installed. Be sure that you know what conditions your coating material needs to be applied in, and ensure that the surfaces to be sprayed are adequately equipped to accept the coating. Without adequate preparation, bubbling, cracking and peeling may be the result.

5. Equipment readiness

Ensuring that your equipment is operating correctly would seem to be a no-brainer, but it's amazing how many projects run into serious problems thanks to misfiring equipment. Before every project, fully inspect your spraying equipment, checking all potential problem areas and running the required tests - including all health and safety considerations. Materials should also be checked for proper mixing and temperatures. Don't forget to cycle element through your lines periodically to keep the lines primed. While you're spraying is not the time to find out that something is off, because at that point it's probably too late.

Like most things in life, problems with foam coating application can happen when you least expect them. Operators that get used to equipment functioning correctly over a period can get complacent, and it's the one time when something isn't supported favorably that things go wrong. Unfortunately, things going wrong at the coating stage can mean the destruction of an entire project, so a little preparation goes a long way. With conventional technique, training, and preparation, your plans will be sure to impress.

Coating systems are methods used in treating flat and uneven surfaces on any element. The use of coating technology is regularly in agreement with the high-quality standards set by most industries in coming up with the very best line of products. Diverse coating materials are used each of which possesses a characteristic that's beneficial to the needs of markets.

Coating materials

Coatings are made up of biologically safe chemicals connected through scientific procedures. Coating is ordinarily done by spraying an absorbent non-metal over metallic exteriors. These nonmetal substances are guarded against wear and corrosion. They also have electrical properties. In many situations, they're sprayed. They are applied thinly just to cover uneven spots of the workpiece. The application procedure is vital to be mastered for the film to give the sought beauty that can endure. However, coating may also be done within a device. Four elements are required in coating formulation: binders, additives, pigments, and carrier fluid.

The following are the major types of coating substances used today:

Polyester is definitely the most common polymer that attaches resistance to paint covered steel. This material is elastic and formable and can be used in multiple climates.

Matted polyester is a coating that has a high color retention property. It is preferred when the gloss isn't found to be important.

The plural is characterized by a silky matted structural surface that is very resistant to temperature variations. Just like the matted polyester, this has high color retention and displays mechanical resistance.

Acryl is a combination of varnish and paint. This coating material is not dependable for it can be ruined easily even upon installation. The color fades under the sun given some years of use.

Plastisol is used each time a heavy coating is wanted. It's highly resistant to any kind of mechanical damages. It has high corrosion resistance, but its color retention is observed to be lower than that of the polyester. However, it is one of the greatest coatings for smooth surfaces. Plastisol is a suspension of PVC or other polymer particles in a liquid plasticizer; it flows as fluid and can be poured into a heated cast. When heated to around 177 degrees Celsius, the plastic particles dissolve, and the mixture turns into a gel of high viscosity that usually cannot be streamed anymore.

Polyvinylidene fluoride or polyvinylidene difluoride
PVDF is a specialty plastic utilized in applications requiring the highest purity, as well as stability to solvents, acids, and bases. Compared to other fluoropolymers, like polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon), PVDF has a low density. It does not quickly fade. It is among the most corrosive coating materials that will also give a thin gloss finish.

What Is In A Coat?

The use of the various coating methods all provide for quality and safe creation of goods. A coat, whatever material it is made of, is designated to preserve the product from degeneration and other damages brought by wetness and other environmental factors. Aside from that, the beauty of products is sustained through the application of coat by providing it with smooth, pin hole-free finish.

The use of spray on coating is the most widely used coating technique. Apart from ease of application, coating through the use of spray is amongst the most efficient methods, for it does not any longer demand the use of other devices. Moreover, the ingenuousness of its technique allows for work perfection and work productivity. That is why of the many coating methods being suggested to industries, the use of spray gained the most popularity.
